Integral sound healing integrates modern science, ancient wisdom and the healing arts. Healing with sound has been widely used throughout the world for thousands of years. It is a form of vibrational medicine that helps to balance all aspects of being human - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
These sessions are conducted whilst fully clothed as Kat uses various instruments such as tuning forks, quartz crystal and Himalayan bowls, gongs and percussion both on and around the body. It is a hands on treatment incorporating guided breathing practice and energetic healing.
When using sound intentionally within a therapeutic context it can balance the nervous system, help reduce stress and shift emotional blocks, many of which manifest as physical ailments and dis-eases. The vibrations from sound healing instruments penetrate down to a cellular level (especially when placed directly on the body) relaxing tense muscles and tissues. This allows better blood flow and lymphatic circulation to aid detoxification. Pain and inflammation can be relieved and regulation of the autonomic nervous system can be achieved. Sound healing has the potential to strengthen the vagus nerve and activate the parasympathetic nervous system helping recipients feel calmer and more balanced.
On a mental and emotional level it allows one to surrender and let go of negative thought patterns which no longer serve. As we become witness to sensation and thought we achieve a new perspective and access greater possibilities and opportunities. On a spiritual level, it can both help reconnect to our true selves and also know we are not separate and thus re-connect to a greater whole.
Please note: When you book an integral sound healing session you will be sent a form to fill in before the session. This enables us to make full use of our time together.
