Dr. Carolyn Eddleston

In 1991 I qualified as a doctor in London. I then specialised as a GP and completed my training in Exeter. I continued to work in General Practice. In 1996 I went to New Zealand, with the idea of exploring another land that sounded so magical. What started as a 1 year working contract became a 6 year life changing experience. I began to really question my ideas of wellness and illness, and seek my own way within the western medical model. I found a lot of the answers buried deep within the wisdom of Traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and the philosophy of Taoism, which matched my love of nature.

Whilst living in New Zealand, I completed a 3 year full-time diploma in acupuncture and chose to study with a group of non-medical individuals. I wanted to completely immerse myself in the philosophy and not to learn a diluted, western form of this medicine. I continued to work as a GP, but found that the short appointment times became more and more inadequate for the way in which I wanted to work.

I have now chosen to return to the UK with the idea of bringing some of this energy to uplift others, as I have been uplifted. We have become a nation focused on searching for illness. My philosophy focuses on how to restore wellness.

I look forward to meeting you!
